About

What this software actually does

Terminal is Windows software for booking IRCTC Tatkal tickets. You save the passenger list, the journey details and the payment preference once. When the Tatkal window opens the software fills the booking form instead of you typing it under a clock, and you stay in control of the payment.

Terminal works with both IRCTC login routes on one license: the website session and the app token flow. That matters on a morning when one of the two is slow — you switch instead of losing the window.

Passenger names, ID numbers and berth preference sit in a saved master list, so nothing has to be typed at 10:00 am. Editing that list the night before is the single biggest time saving on offer.

Who it suits

Agents and regular bookers who want both IRCTC login routes on one license, so a slow website morning does not end the attempt.

Booking run

What a Tatkal run actually looks like

Four stages. Only the middle one is fast, and that is the part the software takes over.

01

The night before

Put the passengers, the train, the class and the boarding point into the saved list. Check that the IRCTC user ID you plan to use is Aadhaar-authenticated and that its details match. Nothing on this list should be left for the morning.

02

Ten minutes before

Open Terminal, load the saved list and sign in with your Both login. Keep the UPI or bank app open on the phone that receives the OTP. Do not refresh IRCTC over and over — that is what gets an account throttled.

03

The window opens

10:00 am for AC classes, 11:00 am for sleeper and other non-AC. The software submits the form it has already filled, works through the captcha, and moves to payment. Your job is to approve the payment the moment your phone asks.

04

After the run

If a seat was free at that instant you get a PNR. If the quota had already gone, no software would have changed that — you try again the next day, or look at another train or a different class.

Straight answer

What Terminal does not do

Worth reading before you pay. Most listings in this market leave this part out.

  • It does not create, hold or reserve seats. If the Tatkal quota for your train is finished, the attempt fails exactly the way a manual attempt would.
  • It does not bypass IRCTC authentication. Tatkal and Premium Tatkal need an Aadhaar-authenticated IRCTC account, and the OTP goes to the Aadhaar-linked mobile number. That step stays yours.
  • It does not promise a confirmed ticket, and no seller of this kind of software honestly can. What changes is how much of the form is already done when the clock hits the window.
  • It does not remove the agent restriction. IRCTC holds authorised agent IDs back for the first 30 minutes of each Tatkal window — 10:00 to 10:30 and 11:00 to 11:30.
  • It does not run while your machine is off. The PC or VPS has to be awake, signed in and connected when the window opens.
Requirements

What you need to run it

  • Operating systemWindows 7, 8, 10 or 11 (64-bit)
  • RAM4 GB minimum, 8 GB more comfortable
  • InternetA stable broadband or wired connection
  • IRCTC accountAadhaar-authenticated, profile details matching
  • PaymentA UPI app on the phone that receives your OTP
  • OptionalA Windows VPS, if your machine or connection is unreliable
  • Login modeBoth login
You do not need a VPS to run this. It helps when your own machine is old, your connection drops at the wrong moment, or you want the software awake and signed in without leaving your laptop on all morning. If none of that describes you, skip it.
Setup

Setup help is part of the price

  • Send your order number on WhatsApp and we install it with you, on the machine you actually plan to book from.
  • We check the boring things once: Windows version, system date and time, antivirus exclusions, and whether your IRCTC ID signs in cleanly.
  • We do a dry run with you outside the Tatkal window, so the first real attempt is not the first time you have opened the software.
  • On a VPS we set it up there instead, and your own laptop stays free.

FAQ

Questions about Terminal

What does Terminal actually do?

Terminal keeps your passenger list, journey details and payment preference saved, then fills the IRCTC Tatkal booking form for you the moment the window opens. It signs in with your own IRCTC account. Whether a ticket confirms still depends on the quota left at that moment.

Will it guarantee a confirmed Tatkal ticket?

No — and be careful with any seller who says it will. Tatkal seats are limited and released at a fixed time. Terminal removes typing time from the process; it does not add seats or move you up IRCTC's queue.

Do I need Aadhaar authentication?

Yes. Since July 2025 IRCTC allows Tatkal and Premium Tatkal booking only from Aadhaar-authenticated accounts, and the OTP goes to the Aadhaar-linked mobile number. You can check the status inside your IRCTC account. That is IRCTC's rule, not ours, and no software gets around it.

Does it bypass the captcha or the OTP?

No. It reads the captcha image IRCTC serves and types the answer into the same field you would type into. The OTP still arrives on your own phone and you still approve the payment yourself.

What time does Tatkal open?

One day before the date of travel: 10:00 am for AC classes and 11:00 am for sleeper and other non-AC classes. IRCTC also holds authorised agent IDs back for the first 30 minutes of each window.

How long is the license valid?

30 days from the day the key is issued. You can renew from your account page before it expires, and the same key is extended.

How soon do I get the license after paying?

Once the payment is verified. Most orders go through quickly; at busy times a person checks the UTR by hand, so allow a little time. The key reaches both your account page and your WhatsApp number.

Do I need a VPS to run Terminal?

Usually not. A normal Windows PC on a stable connection is enough. A VPS is worth buying if your machine is slow, your connection drops, or you want the software awake and signed in without leaving your own laptop on.

Which IRCTC login does Terminal use?

Terminal supports both routes on one license — the IRCTC website login and the app token flow. If one is slow on a given morning you can switch to the other without setting the software up again.

What happens when IRCTC changes its website?

IRCTC alters the booking flow from time to time and the software is updated to match. Updates inside your license period cost nothing extra. If something stops working, send us a screenshot instead of reinstalling repeatedly.

Can I move the license to another computer?

A license runs on one machine at a time. If you change or reformat your PC, request a reset from your account page and we release the license for the new machine.

Could my IRCTC account get restricted?

IRCTC can restrict an account for behaviour it treats as abusive — repeatedly hammering the site, profile details that do not match, or a stream of bookings from one ID. Keep the profile accurate, do not run several attempts on the same ID at once, and never share your credentials.
